  • Led enterprise-wide implementation following the Wachovia acquisition across $1T+ of risk assets and 3,000+ investments, addressing consolidation and governance requirements.

  • Developed the accounting and risk-management strategy for a $2B+ bond portfolio hedge program.

  • Designed the accounting and transaction structure for $266M Nevada Solar One, the first leveraged lease of its type under U.S. GAAP.

Silicon Valley Bank | Senior Technical Accounting Manager

Structured the accounting and financial framework for SVB’s joint-venture bank with Shanghai Pudong Development Bank, the first new joint-venture bank approved in China in 16 years; subsequently the transaction was featured in a Stanford Graduate School of Business case study.

Developed innovative lending and life-sciences financing structures that achieved commercial objectives while addressing complex consolidation, accounting, and regulatory requirements.

Barrick GoldSelected following an international search and relocated to Barbados, leading U.S. GAAP and regulatory remediation across a highly complex global structure and supporting global gold-hedging strategy.

Allstate — Led key aspects of FAS 133 derivatives implementation, authoring 26 derivative-policy papers reviewed by the company’s Big Four auditors; specifically retained during a companywide consultant reduction and later asked to return for additional strategic finance work.
